Derek Lee
Derek Lee has 40 years’ experience in the real estate industry, with specialized expertise in brokerage, property management, financing, commercial and residential development, and syndication.
After graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1982 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in urban land economics, he joined Prospero as a real estate broker, becoming its president in 1999. Derek’s membership affiliations include the Urban Development Institute, Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, Real Estate Institute of BC, and National Association of Industrial Office Properties. He is also an advisory board member of Balfour Pacific Funds.
Derek’s extensive community service includes having served on the boards of S.U.C.C.E.S.S., Business Family Centers, Heart and Stroke Foundation, BC Artscape, BC Progress Board and Tennis BC. Derek received a Doctor of Laws, honorary degree from Capilano University and in 2022 co-chaired, with his wife Carlota, the capital campaign for the Centre for Childhood Studies at Capilano University.

Jeff Nightingale
Jeff Nightingale joined Prospero in 1988 as the property manager for a large project on the North Shore. In 1998, he was made Vice President - Residential Properties, and his duties were expanded to overseeing the residential division.
Today, Jeff works on a broad range of projects, developing valuable experience and industry contacts. He continues to work closely with many of Prospero's long-term clients.
An avid golfer, Jeff is active in the community, supporting his boys’ athletics by coaching rugby, soccer, and baseball.

Since joining Prospero in 1999, Rick has primarily been involved in retail and commercial management, as well as the redevelopment and tenanting of major retail and mixed-use properties in the Lower Mainland, the Interior of B.C., and Vancouver Island. As Vice President of Commercial Properties, Rick holds excellent relationships with national tenants and tenant representatives and local brokers. Additionally, his experience in operations and construction have been invaluable in tenant improvements, property redevelopment, and expansions.

Harvey Chow
Harvey Chow has over 25 years’ experience in the property management industry. He joined Prospero in 1996 as the Controller for Property Management and was responsible for the conversion and implementation of a new accounting system. Today, he oversees the accounting for an extensive portfolio of retail, office, industrial and apartment buildings and is a key member of the management team which oversees the implementation of Prospero’s policies and procedures.
Prior to joining Prospero, Harvey served with Colliers International as their accounting manager. In that role, he was instrumental in growing their property management division through overseeing the accounting for their Toronto, Calgary, and Edmonton offices, as well as implementing accounting systems for the company’s expansion into Victoria and Phoenix.
